Where the Gulls Turn Home
A reflection on light, return, and the hush at day’s end. Inspired by Helmsdale Harbour, this watercolour captures sunset sky ablaze with gold and ember, mirrored in the tide below. Gulls skim low over the darkening harbour wall as the sea rises gently beneath them—their wings brushing dusk, the waves lapping soft against stone.
