Barefoot in the Sand

Painted in the studio after a sunlit holiday in Praia da Luz, Portugal, this watercolour recalls two young women walking barefoot along the tideline, their colourful dresses lifted in the breeze. Soft reflections shimmer in wet sand as the shoreline stretches into distance - anchored by the familiar headland and a pair of distant figures, half held by sea and light.​​
